WHAT: UFPPC Sunday Salon
WHO: Featuring Rosalind Bell
WHEN: Sunday, May 20, 2012 -- 3:00 p.m.
WHERE: Chez Steve & Colleen Phillbrook, 3901 North 37th St., Tacoma, WA
United for Peace of Pierce County invites you to an afternoon of tasting “mostly locally-sourced” cuisine with a weed-eating flair, featuring a cooking demonstration and talk by Rosalind Bell.
Rosalind has been called “Tacoma’s wonderful wizard of cooking with love and art.” Watching her cook and hearing her talk about the ingredients will be entertaining (if you don’t know Rosalind, just you wait!) and we'll also learn about the carbon footprint of those ingredients. Her choices will reflect her creativity and what’s growing in her yard, and we can expect some tasty surprises. The menu includes dandelions, nettles, sorrel, chicken, shrimp (not from her yard), and an assortment of wines.
This salon is a fund-raiser for United for Peace of Pierce County. A donation of $25 is suggested, though no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
An RSVP would be appreciated but isn’t required to attend: Please call or write Kristi: 253-573-1504 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
