On Christmas Eve Eve, Father Bill "Bix" Bichsel sent a Christmas message of peace to one and all, which was also an invitation to come to the Federal Courthouse in Tacoma (1717 Pacific Ave.) at 3:30 p.m. on Tues., Dec. 28, 2010, the Feast of the Holy Innocents, for a vigil to "say no to war and nuclear weapons."[1]  --  "Singing with choir members of different churches begins at 4:00 p.m.  Bring your children with you.  Bring a candle." ...

Greetings:

May the birth of Jesus nourish hope in us for the lives of all children, and strengthen us in resistance to those forces that will kill them.

The hope and love of Christmas be with you.

Please join our community at the Federal Courthouse on Tuesday Dec. 28, to remember the Feast of the Holy Innocents.

Herod slaughtered innocent children looking for the Christ child, and today, as our country uses drones, wars, and nuclear threats, children are killed and the massacre continues.

Hope and justice live when people, even in tiny numbers, stand up and fight for them.  Consequently, at the Federal Courthouse, we will sing songs of hope and remember the children threatened and killed by wars and the consequences of war.

“Every boot that trampled in battle, every cloak rolled in blood, will be burned as fuel for flames.  For unto us a child is born, . . . his name is Wonder-Counselor, . . . Prince of Peace.”  Isaiah 9: 5-6.

Join with on the Feast of the Holy Innocents and say no to war and nuclear weapons.

Join us in front of the Federal Courthouse in Tacoma, Tuesday, December 28, 2010.

Gathering vigil -- 3:30 p.m.

Singing with choir members of different churches begins at 4:00 p.m.

Bring your children with you.

Bring a candle.

Remember the Children/Abolish Nuclear Weapons/End War

Call Bix 253-304-6612 or Susan 443-602-0464 for more information.

Bix
