LOCAL ACTIVISM: Stay out of Iran rally at Exit 119 on Aug. 2 @ 12 noon Print E-mail
Written by Abe DeJamminen and Randy Talbot
Tuesday, 29 July 2008

Sat., Aug. 2, has been declared a national day of action against war with Iran.  --  A rally called by Iraq Veterans Against the War, G.I. Voice, and Olympia SDS will be held at I-5’s Exit 119, outside Fort Lewis, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.[1] ...

1.

NO WAR ON IRAQ! NO WAR ON IRAN!

The current administration and the complicit Congress have clearly made evident their intent to escalate tensions and pave the way for an attack on Iran. This comes on the heels of a catastrophic war on the people of Iraq, which continues to kill and dispossess numerous people daily. As a movement for peace and justice it is our responsibility to exact a social and political cost for such actions and prevent them when they are imminent.

Saturday, August 2nd, is the National Day of Action against war with Iran. Join us at I-5's Exit 119, outside Fort Lewis, from Noon-3pm for a family-friendly demonstration and overpass rally.

An Attack could be Imminent!
We Can’t Afford to Wait!
U.S. out Of Iraq, Stay out of Iran!
Money for human needs, not war!

Brought to you by IVAW, G.I. Voice, and Olympia SDS
