A vigil for the 4,000 U.S. service personnel who have died in Iraq has been called by the Tacoma chapter of Veterans for Peace on Sat. afternoon, Mar. 29, 2008.  --  Details below.[1] ...

WHAT:  4000 vigil
WHO:  Veterans for Peace Chapter 134-Tacoma
WHEN:  Saturday, March 29, 2008 -- 12:30-4:00 p.m.
WHERE:  Near Borders on 38th (12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.), then on the McKinley St. overpass over I-5 (2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.)

Sorry that I must inform you that DoD has announced the 4000th death of U.S. service personnel in Iraq. As we decided in the last meeting, we will vigil as usual from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. next Saturday, March 29th, on the sidewalk by the Borders Books at 38thth Steele (with the large 4,000 banner). Then we will move to the McKinley Street overpass over I-5 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and banner there.
