An antiwar protest at the Tacoma Mall military recruitment center on Sat., Mar. 15, is the subject of a new video by the Praxis Imago team of UPS's Joe La Sac (a.k.a. Acumensch), posted on YouTube on Sunday. -- Viewers have described it as "great," "excellent," and the "funniest damn thing I've seen in a long time." ...
Watch these interviews. Tacoma anti-war activists shut down the military recruiting center at the Tacoma Mall for the day, March 15, 2008. This protest was for the fifth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq in 2003, which is on March 19. March 19 will be a "day of mass resistance" in the major U.S. cities.
Seeing as the ratio of protester to counter-protester in Tacoma was something like 2:3 we decided to ask them how they heard and why they came out. Tacoma has one of the largest JROTC and ROTC programs on the West Coast, with every high school participating. Many of the protest organizers were high school students, college students, veterans, teachers, and concerned community members, while the internet and radios organized the counter-protester protest.
