At 7:00 p.m. on Thurs., Mar. 20, 2008, as part of a number of events in Pierce County marking the fifth anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion and occupation of Iraq, United for Peace of Pierce County will show the film "War Made Easy," a feature-length documentary based on Norman Solomon's extraordinary book, War Made Easy: How Presidents and Pundits Keep Spinning Us to Death (John Wiley & Sons, 2005).[1]  --  Narrated by Sean Penn, "War Made Easy" exposes the 50-year pattern of government deception and media spin that has dragged the United States into war after war.  --  The film features remarkable archival footage and reveals how the U.S. news media have been complicit in disseminating the pro-war messages of successive presidential administrations.  --  A brief discussion will follow the film.  --  There is no charge for admission....
