Members of UFPPC will be joining many other groups in protesting against President George W. Bush during his visit to the Downtown Bellevue Hyatt on Mon., Aug. 27, when he'll be attending a fundraiser for Dave Reichert (R-WA 8th). -- Meet at 10:30 a.m. at the Tacoma Mall Krispi Kreme as a staging area for carpools, or shoot an e-mail to karpe-diem@att.net — more information below.[1] ...

WHAT: Bush protest WHO: Groups and individuals from through Western Washington WHEN: Monday, August 27, 2007 -- 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. WHERE: Downtown Bellevue Hyatt, corner of NE 8th and Bellevue Way. [From Linda Boyd, Washington State impeachment activist] George Bush will be in town to attend a fundraiser for Rubber Stamp Reichert. The intersection of NE 8th and Bellevue Way is likely to be blocked. We can line the streets all along downtown Bellevue. Let's make it the motther of all Protest Bush events. Bring your outrage, signs, puppets, theatrics, noisemakers, and friends. Declare yourself, wear Guantanamo Orange. Protesters will stage a die-in, document speeches on video, bang pots and pans, and let the world know we will not tolerate the war criminal in chief here in Washington State. |
