Two YouTube videos of musical performances at the greeting event for supporters of Lt. Ehren Watada on the eve of his court-martial have been posted. -- The first presents a number sung by Dennis Kyne, who served in the U.S. military for fifteen years as an Army medic and drill sergeant.[1] -- Deployed in the 1991 Gulf War, he was trained in Nuclear-Biological-Chemical warfare, and testified as an expert on depleted uranium munitions at the Citizens' Hearing on the Legality of U.S. Actions in Iraq: The Case of Lt. Ehren Watada in Tacoma, WA, on Jan. 20-21, 2007.[1] -- (Kyne's statement appears on pages 36-37 of the Preliminary Report.) -- He is a member of the Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW). -- The second video presents a song performed by Darrell Anderson, who served in the First Armored Division in Baghdad and Najaf in 2004; he was awarded a Purple Heart for injuries sustained in combat.[2] -- He later went AWOL in Canada in 2005-2006, and was discharged after his return to the U.S. -- He also presented testimony to the Citizens' Hearing; his statement appears on pages 18-19 of the Preliminary Report. -- A YouTube video of Dennis Kyne performing at the rally near Exit 119 on Feb. 5 has also been posted.[3] ...
