SALON INVITATION

You are cordially invited to the Salon Society Sunday Series on November 12th from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at 3901 North 37th St., Tacoma. This is a fundraiser for United for Peace of Pierce County whose mission is nonviolently to oppose reliance on pre-emptive unilateral military actions rather than cooperative diplomacy. The funds are to be used for educational purposes.

The evening will begin with an instrumental performance by David Rhys Johnson of Tacoma. His powerful piano style is known throughout the West. David Rhys Johnson makes a yearly performance tour in Arizona and California. His style could be characterized as New Age; he is in popular demand at many venues in Tacoma. His original recorded music has been widely sold.

A conversation led by a panel of local experts will examine how Tacoma can deal with its most challenged youth. Informal interaction will follow with refreshments, including wine and hors d'oeuvres.

While open to the public, this is an intimate gathering in a private home belonging to Colleen and Stephen Philbrook. Seating is limited. Tickets may be purchased in advance for $15 by calling Kristi Nebel at 253-573-1504 or by paying at the door on the day of the event.
