"A Soldier's Duty? The Ehren Watada Story" is an 18-minute video juxtaposing points of view on Lt. Watada's refusal in June 2006 to deploy to Iraq on the grounds that the orders to do so are illegal. -- Made by Prof. Michael Honey of the University of Washington-Tacoma, the film reviews the history of international law on illegal war in the twentieth century. -- It includes comments by both supporters and opponents of Watada's claims, interviews with Lt. Watada and members of his family, and footage of the Aug. 16, 2006, demonstration in support of Watada at I-5's Exit 119, with clips from news broadcasts and a well-crafted musical background, and concludes: "You be the judge." -- The video is now available on YouTube (link below).[1] ...
